    Description

Up for your consideration is an improvement in “Wagon Brakes” patent model, patented March 19, 1912. The wagon is about 6 ¾” in height at its tallest point, which is the top of the back wheel.
The length of the wagon at its longest point, is 15”, which is the back of the back wheel to the front of the front wheel.
The depth of the wagon, back wheel to back wheel, is about 8”.
The middle of the wheels protrude, so the depth of the patent model is actually about 1” bigger. The original wooden box for this patent is included in the auction.
As seen in the photo, the box is extremely worn and is cracked in some areas.
The box is incomplete, as a piece of the front, top area of the wood is missing.
It also looks like the top of the box is missing a piece of hardware that may have once locked or sealed the box. Also, it appears the box may have once had leather hinges and hardware on the back of the box.
The dimensions of the box are about 16 ½” in length, 8 5/8” in height and 10” in depth.
Please study the photos to view the scattered blemishes and “age spots” on the patent model as I have carefully taken the pictures to expand on the description, imperfections and details of the patent model. Notice the wood and metal show age and wear including paint loss, discoloration, tarnishing, stains, pitting, rust, scratches and other “age spots.”
The patent model and box would benefit from a good, thorough cleaning.
As pictured, we have the original patent paperwork and seal.
These items are in extremely worn, fragile condition.
The paper work indicates this patent model is number
    US1020851.
It is impossible to list each and every blemish so kindly enlarge the photos and view the pictures carefully.

A diagram of the patent model and details about the patent can be found here.
I do not know if this patent model is complete.
I’m not trying to mislead anyone, it is just impossible for me to follow the diagram.
Please study the diagram to determine if the patent model is missing pieces
    .
